JJ Heller gets national US exposure through FOX TV series
AFTER YEARS of being a critically acclaimed independent singer/songwriter, JJ Heller has been catapulted into America's national spotlight through the unexpected use of a Heller track on the major FOX TV series So You Think You Can Dance. Contestant Diana Dreckler chose JJ's song "Your Hands" from her 2008 album 'Painted Red'. As a result of the TV exposure Houston-based FM station KSBJ decided to do something that it hadn't done in nearly four years, add an independent artist's song to the station's regular rotation. "Your Hands" went on to lodge in Billboard's Christian Songs chart while the album registered in Billboard's Folk Albums chart.
