Worship man Drew Cline joins CCM hitmakers NewSong
AMERICAN harmony pop group NewSong have announced that worship artist Drew Cline has joined the group as one of its lead singers. He replaces Michael O'Brien who left NewSong early this year to pursue his solo career and focus on a family ministry. Cline is no stranger to Christian music. Since winning the GMA's Music In The Rockies Spotlight Competition in 2000 (with a vocal group he formed called As Is), Cline has been a sought-after session and studio vocalist in Nashville, a worship pastor at a Nashville-area church and has recorded a solo worship project, 'Way Of Life', to be released in early 2007. NewSong is putting the final touches on its second Christmas CD, 'The Christmas Hope', which will be released in the US in October on Integrity Records. The album is produced by Bernie Herms (Natalie Grant, Nate Sallie) and includes a new version of NewSong's international hit, "The Christmas Shoes" and contributions by Anointed, Matthew West and Rachael Lampa.
