THE NEW DELIRIOUS? album won't be out until the new year. The band are already gigging four song, "Bliss", "Mezzanine Floor", "Heaven" and "See The Star" from the album, which is being described as "harsher, with a greater musical complexity and a revised lyrical focus." The band's lead singer Martin Smith told UCB Cross Rhythms. 'We're really excited about next year. We've been talking to Virgin Records about a global deal. The new record is sounding good. We're looking to do some smaller gigs in January and then a big tour in March." Martin Smith went on to speak to Cross Rhythms about Delirious? turning down an opportunity to tour America with DC Talk where they could have played to half a million people. "What happened was that we're doing quite well in the States at the moment. Out in the US DC Talk are kind of like the biggest band on the Christian scene. They asked us to tour with them. But it would have meant us relocating out there for four months. We felt that wasn't our priority. Our priority was to stay in England and keep playing to our people here. Also, we really want to keep our foot on the gas to break in the mainstream. Although the DC Talk tour of the US would have been an incredible opportunity and we would have sold lots of records, it didn't really fit in with our vision at the present time."
