American singer/songwriter Chris Tomlin rejects the label "worship artist".
THE WELL known American composer of such worship songs as "Forever", "Be Glorified" and "We Fall Down", Chris Tomlin told Christian Retailing magazine recently that being regarded as a "worship artist" does not tell the whole story. The singer, whose 'Arriving' album was released by sixsteprecords in September, said, "I'm not doing anything different than Steven Curtis Chapman is doing. We've been labelled as the leaders of the modern worship movement, which is funny because it's a label that doesn't mean anything. Modern worship is not modern to God."
