Britain's ska veterans Sounds Of Salvation (SoS) call it a day

THE SKA band from Reading have announced they will be disbanding in the summer. Read a band statement, "After at least 12 years of skanking around the United Kingdom (and once France) SoS have decided to call it a day. We've had a fantastic ride and we thank God for all the amazing opportunities he has given us over the years and the people we have met. We put out our first album, 'Like It Is', almost exactly 10 years ago and have gone on to produce two other full albums 'Skagje' and 'Rise Of The Ska Machine' along with several EPs 'Nuking The Fridge', 'Ska Mass' and the 'Never Stand Still' series. But it can't go on for ever. We're getting old and creaky and we just can't keep pogoing round like we used to. So we're planning to do our last ever final fond farewell gig in the summer of 2016 in our hometown of Reading. We also have one more volume in the 'Never Stand Still' EP series on the hard drive at SoS studios, and we are going to try and get this finished and released before our final show."
