Charlotte's Philmont sign with Forefront Records

NEW POP punk band Philmont have signed with Forefront Records. The Charlotte, North Carolina band grabbed the label's attention during several shows at Cornerstone Festival last summer in Bushnell, Illinois. Philmont frontman Scott Taube said, "Everyone at Forefront is amazing. We could tell from the beginning that they all truly cared about the songs we write and who we are as a band." Josiah Prince, Philmont guitarist, added, "After spending a couple of days meeting with the staff at Forefront, we knew they understood where we wanted to go and would be a great partner in taking our music to a worldwide audience." Producer Rob Hawkins (Fireflight, Jackson Waters) has been brought on board to produce the band's debut.
