Songsmith JJ Heller speaks about the inspiration behind "Not Enough" single
THE MUCH playlisted Nashville-based singer/songwriter JJ Heller has released a new single, "Not Enough". Writing about the inspiration of the song, Heller said, "My dad wrote the sweetest poem for my mom on their anniversary a few years ago. After listing all the things they've walked through together, the poem ends with the line, 'But when they ask me how long we've been married, the answer is "not long enough"'. We wrote this song with Brandon Heath exploring the idea that for some of us, it's not love at first sight. One or both of us needs time to open our eyes and hearts (I'm looking at you, Dave Heller). But once we fall in love, it's hard to imagine what life was like before. Each day becomes a gift and we learn year after year, what it means to love well. Some seasons are harder than others, but even the stormy times can make our roots grow deeper. When we've found the one our soul loves, even a lifetime together feels too short."
