Chart-topper Daniel Bedingfield is touring with a new album
TO TIE in with the unprecedented UK tour, which sees British rock worship band Onehundredhours opening for mainstream pop star Daniel Bedingfield, Survivor Records are releasing a special edition of their 2004 album 'Stronger Than My Heart'. The new version of the opening track "King Of My Heart" was remixed at Abbey Road studios by Paul Hicks. Paul has previously mixed projects for Coldplay, Travis and Placebo. The special edition will also contain a video of the track.
Onehundredhours' lead singer Tre Sheppard told Cross Rhythms how his band came to get on the Daniel Bedingfield tour which kicks off in Belfast on 6th March. "We were invited to do the tour by Daniel and his management. The original idea was thrown out at me one night late on the tour bus by Daniel and his tour manager late last year. I sort of laughed it off and dismissed the idea at the time, not really expecting it to come to anything. A few months later, during the recording of 'Stronger Than My Heart', one of our producers, Tom Mills, was at a gig we were playing in a Student Uni bar somewhere up north and during the break between sets, he grabbed me and said that if we got asked to do Daniel's tour again, we should say yes immediately. Sure enough, Dan and his management were persistent and asked us again in April while Dan was in LA recording... and we said yes."
- An article chronicling Onehundredhours' tour with Daniel Bedingfield will appear in Cross Rhythms 85.
