Survivor Records to release Bangor's Rend Collective Experiment
IN JANUARY Survivor Records will be releasing a "revolutionary" album 'Organic Family Hymnal' by Rend Collective Experiment. Said Survivor A&R man Adrian Thompson, "This is the freshest and most exciting sound in worship probably since Delirious? kicked in. Rend Collective Experiment are precisely at the point where today's music culture meets worship - I suppose the musical equivalent of what people like Rob Bell and Mark Driscoll are trying to do with Church. Personally, working with a great bunch of committed people from my home territory of Northern Ireland makes it even more exciting. I can't wait for people to hear this album."
The Bangor-based The Rend Collective Experiment started in 2004 and include within their numbers renowned singer/songwriter Foy Vance and Gareth Gilkeson (known for his work with such acts as G&G and Numinous). The 15-member collective have already released two volumes of 'Organic Family Hymnal' EPs independently.
