Music sales enjoy record year in the UK.

UK RECORD companies have reported their best ever year for album sales with a record 237 million units sold in the 12 months to September. This figure represents a three per cent rise compared with last year. The British Phonographic Industry (BPI) also said sales of single tracks were up thanks to the availability of legal download services. Download sales will be added to the singles chart from next year. CR
