Sam Cooke remembered on 'Portrait Of A Legend' compilation

ABKCO Records have released a Sam Cooke album which Q magazine have called "the best compilation yet of soul's golden voice." The album, 'Portrait Of A Legend 1951-1964', features such mainstream hits as "A Change Is Gonna Come", "Cupid" and "You Send Me" as well as tracks the R&B star recorded in his gospel days with The Soul Stirrers. The project also boasts a sleevenote by Peter Guralnick. CR
