Richard McLester and Alexandra Wehlau featured on new album

MULTI-INSTRUMENTALIST and composer Richard McLester has joined forces with mezzo soprano Alexandra Wehlau for a new CD, 'The Road To Golgotha: The Passion Of Christ'. As well as featuring unusual instruments such as the 15th century renaissance shawm and Arabian oud, the music on the album includes original Aramaic text, the language used during the time of Jesus with translations in the CD booklet. The score moves through folk songs, large-scale choral works and orchestrations to the more contemporary style song "We Have Fallen (Over The Edge Of The World)".
