Singer/songwriter Sam Phillips releases new album 'A Boot And A Shoe'.
AMERICAN singer Sam Phillips, who in the '70s recorded CCM under the name Leslie Phillips before switching to the mainstream, has released her sixth album under that name. 'A Boot And A Shoe' for Nonesuch Records is, like its predecessors, produced by Sam's award-winning producer husband T-Bone Burnett. Billboard described the project as "dominated by acoustic rhythm guitar, sparse electric guitar, acoustic bass guitar and a double-drum beat," while her songs are described as being "like poems that require attentive listening."
