Bio-pic on William Wilberforce released to UK cinemas in March
THE MUCH heralded film based on the life of anti-slavery campaigner William Wilberforce, Amazing Grace, goes on UK cinema release on 23rd March. The release coincides with the 200th anniversary of the abolition of the slave trade in the UK. Inspired by the film, The Amazing Change is a global campaign to mobilise a new generation of abolitionists committed to freeing children, women and men in slavery today. Said May-Lynn Chang of Bristol Bay Productions, "We want church leaders of all denominations to be inspired by the faith and courage of Wilberforce. We hope they will use this film to empower their churches to become a catalyst for change and to engage and inspire discussion in relation to the bicentenary."
