CCM star Michael Smith hits top 20 charts with Christian orientated album

AMERICAN CCM star Michael W Smith has hit with the most Christian-oriented album ever to reach the American Top 20 album charts. 'I'll Lead You Home' debuted in the US charts at number 16 as well as leaping straight to number one in the US CCM chart. Smith's major chart success was picked up and reported by several US news programmes.
As well as the Michael W Smith hit, four other CCM albums registered in the Billboard chart for 9 September. These were Ron Kenoly - 'Sing Out With One Voice' (no 134), Amy Grant - 'House Of Love' (175), Petra - 'No Doubt' (191) and Ray Boltz - 'Concert Of A Lifetime' (194).
