Steve Harley And Cockney Rebel release 'The Quality Of Mercy' album.

VETERAN POP hitmakers Steve Harley And Cockney Rebel have released their first album since 2000. 'The Quality Of Mercy' on Gottdiscs received an enthusiastic review in Q magazine, who wrote, "On 'Journey's End (A Father's Promise)', he takes what might have been mawkish father-song tosh and makes it moving and if 'The Coast of Amalfi' is lyrically stuck in the '70s, its gorgeous melody is timeless."  CR

The album is great. Hearing some of the new material at the Renfrew Ferry Glasgow led me to buying the album and I enjoy it more on each hearing. Good to have some meaningful lyrics

The Quality Of Mercy is a superb return to form. I recommend it's purchase. Superb songwriting and musicianship. It's one of those albums, that the more you play it, the better it gets.

This is a superb and beautifully crafted album. The lyrics are so touching and personal and couched in wonderful music from softer ballad to full-on rock, performed by a gifted set of musicians with Steve Harley's unique voice giving voice to the poetry contained within. I love this album!
