ICC's Elevation label to release Supervision album.
LIVERPOOL-based pop rock band Supervision have been signed to ICC Records and are currently in the studio working on their first full record label release. The working title for the album is 'Day Of Small Beginnings'. The band, who in 2003 won the UCAM Best New Band at Christmas Rock Night UK and the Ultimate Events Battle Of The Bands competition, were earlier this year showcased on the three artist project 'This Way Up'. Another band on that project, Titus, have also been signed to ICC and are working on an album. Supervision offer a credible Christian alternative to such bans as Foo Fighters, Feeder and Jimmy Eats World. Their album for ICC's Elevation label is currently being produced by Trevor Michael (Matt Redman) at ICC's recently refurbished studio.
Said the band's guitarist Ian Finch, "We are incredibly excited about
the new record. We have all felt really inspired during the writing
process - musically the songs have a real focus to them with some
ambitious and heavy arrangements and lyrically the songs have come
together with a specific message concerning the calling of God on our
lives as Christians but also the human frailty and doubt that goes
with it. We feel we're about to record an album that will relate to
people of all ages and Christians and non-Christians alike and
encourage them to press on with and look to God."
