Switchfoot and Dashboard Confessional featured on soundtrack album for Spider-Man 2.
SAN DIEGO Christian rock band Switchfoot are one of the acts associated with the soundtrack for the new blockbuster movie Spider-Man 2. In what Sony Entertainment is calling the most ambitious global marketing plan ever for a soundtrack, as many as 11 different versions of the soundtrack are to be released internationally. One of the chief goals is to break selected Sony artists on the album in multiple markets. In the USA Columbia Records/Sony Music Soundtrax released the 15-song 'Spider-Man 2' compilation soundtrack on June 22nd. Dashboard Confessional's "Vindicated" and Train's "Ordinary" are the co-lead singles from the US and Canadian versions of the album while in Europe tracks by California's Switchfoot and Sweden's Ana Johnnson are being released in most markets. Most of the songs on the soundtrack do not appear in the movie.
