Producer T Bone Burnett recognised by the Grammy committee
VETERAN producer and Christian T Bone Burnett has been honoured with three Grammy nominations for the projects 'Thunderbird' by Cassandra Wilson; the soundtrack to the Johnny Cash bio pic Walk The Line; and Burnett's own album 'The True False Identity' (his first solo project for 14 years). Burnett previously won a Grammy in 2002 for his work on the O Brother Where Art Thou soundtrack as well as his wife Sam Phillips' 'Fan Dance'. Highly regarded for getting the best out of artists in a studio setting, Burnett told Billboard magazine about his producer philosophy, "Someone told me a story about when Marlene Dietrich first came to Hollywood. It took 18 months for filmmakers to learn how to light her. Basically, I do the audio version of lighting someone. I always try to round up the best material and then find a way to put it in the best possible light."
