Mel Gibson's crucifixion of Christ movie receives accolades from musicians and church leaders.

THE FEATURE film The Passion Of The Christ, directed, produced and co-written by Mel Gibson, opens in the UK on 26th March after becoming an instant box office smash in the States. In the US the film has grossed $117,538,465 in its first five days, the second biggest five day opening weekend of all time. The film stars Jim Caviezel as Jesus of Nazareth, Monica Bellucci as Mary Magdalene, Maia Morgenstern as Mary, Mattia Sbragia as Caiphas and Hristo Naumov Shopov as Pontius Pilate. CR
