Ireland's Brian Houston releases single, album; undertakes tour
BELFAST rock 'n' roller Brian Houston has a new single and album released to coincide with his latest UK tour. The single "Oranges" was requested by BBC Radio 2 and has already received airplay. The album 'Three Feet From Gold' Houston began recording in January 2008 in Dublin with members of his live band from Belfast. Read a press release, "It is an energetic and varied album featuring a nod to '40s doowop legends The Ink Spots on 'A Man Like Me' while 'Sister Of Mine' features the gospel choir Sense Of Sound (as seen on TV's Last Choir Standing). This eclectic mix of vintage influences and pop sensibility is an impressively varied mix of classic songwriting." Houston's nine-date tour began in Petersfield on 26th September and concludes in Belfast on 9th October.
