Scotland's pop rockers Deacon Blue to undertake Anniversary tour, record new album
'80s AND '90s hitmakers Deacon Blue will be undertaking a 15-city Anniversary Tour this October. The tour will commence in Dundee's Caird Hall on 4th October and conclude at London's Round House on the 22nd. Said the band's lead singer Ricky Ross, "Our 25th anniversary has been looming and I hoped that the band and I could release new material to celebrate. I've been writing songs with Deacon Blue in mind for a few years now, and it's great to be back in the studio in Glasgow getting these tracks down. I can't wait to get them out on the road!"
Demon Music are embarking on a full re-release campaign of the band's entire catalogue that will feature unreleased tracks, demos and videos from the band's archive, and is set to be released alongside the brand new album which the band have recorded with producer Paul Savage. One of the songs on the project will be "Starstruck", a song about Jesus' birth.
