Rocketown Records surprising move to release a trance worship album

IN A SURPRISE MOVE, Michael W Smith's Rocketown Records will be releasing a trance worship album. The artist is record producer Will Hunt, dubbed apt.core on the album 'Rhythms And Remembrance'. Hunt spoke to The CCM Update about the project, "The way we formatted the record as one solid flow of music for 40 minutes was that you could sit down and meditate and focus on the Lord. We've popularised worship and we lose the meaning of the words. All the (current) songs are written with a heart of worship, but because of the style and because they're so popular, sometimes they lose their effectiveness because we catch ourselves singing and playing the songs and not even thinking about them." CR
