Leon Bridges to visit UK; speaks about born again metaphor
RETRO SOUL singer Leon Bridges, whose debut album for Columbia Records 'Coming Home' has received rave reviews, is to visit Britain in September as part of a European tour. Leon will be playing the Anson Rooms, Bristol on the 22nd; Albert Hall, Manchester on the 23rd; O2 ABC, Glasgow on the 24th; and O2 Shepherds Bush, London on the 28th and 29th. When speaking recently to Britain's Uncut magazine about his song "River" Leon said, "I've noticed a lot of soul singers of the '50s and '60s used river metaphors. The river in my song is a metaphor for being born again."
