Naomi Shelton And The Gospel Queens release debut on Daptone
A GROUP fronted by a 66 year old gospel singer, Naomi Shelton And The Gospel Queens, have their debut album, 'What Have You Done My Brother?', released by mainstream funk label Daptone. Shelton calls her music "the gospel sound but with a nightclub beat." The singer was on the road performing R&B for 20 years with erstwhile James Brown organist Cliff Driver.
