As part of the 'Songs for The Millennium Generation', William Booth is selected
19th CENTURY founder of the Salvation Army, William Booth, is one of
the composers featured on the radical youth culture radio station
Cross Rhythms. Booth's "Send The Fire", performed by Lindell Cooley of
the Brownsville Revival, is one of 20 recordings selected for an
initiative "Songs for The Millennium Generation" where contemporary
Christian music records with a special significance to young people
will be featured in Cross Rhythms radio programming from February
21st.
Said Cross Rhythms co-ordinator Jonathan Bellamy, "These
are songs that inspire today's youth to great faith and passion to
serve God in our time." Amongst other recordings selected for the
Songs For The Millennium Generation are Michael W Smith's "Live The
Life"; Delirious?' "History Maker"; David Evans' "Prophesy"; Matt
Redman's "Now To Live The Life"; DC Talk's "Jesus Freak"; Kirk
Franklin's "Lean On Me"; DNA Algorithm's "Rise Up" and Third Day's
"Agnus Dei". The radio exposure will run parallel to Cross Rhythms
normal playlist of rock. R&B, rap and pop broadcast seven days a
week on Sky Sports 1, Audio Channel 7.38 MHz and the Dream Family
Network.
