Cathy Burton signs to Survivor Records as worship leader

POPULAR singer/songwriter Cathy Burton, who has worked in the mainstream as part of the trio Hummingbird and who has previously released albums of her own songs through Fierce!, has signed with Survivor Records as a worship leader. Said Survivor's A&R man Adrian Thompson, "Cathy is someone whom I have known for a long time, and I've always been a supporter of her music even though the time never seemed to be right to work with her. Now, with Cathy's change of focus in her writing and her strong involvement in worship at Grace Church, Chichester the timing is undeniably right. These new songs bring a fresh quality to corporate worship songs, and from the moment I sat in the studio and Cathy played songs like 'Redeemer' and 'Jesus You Are The Way' I knew these were songs that we would love to hear the church sing." Cathy's solo worship debut will be released in January 2010.
