If I have said it once in these teachings I must have said it a million times but this is one of the keys to your Christian walk and therefore your prayer life – intimacy with Father is to be striven for.
'Draw near to God and he will draw near to you.' (James 4:8)
The Bible is full of people desperate for more of God and willing to go to all lengths for a closer walk with Him; David (Psalm 63), Solomon (S of S 3:1-5), Abraham (Genesis 22), Hosea (Hosea 1) and there are many, many more.
In the Old Testament God set up a process of intimacy for only a select few to follow on behalf of all the people of Israel, now though we come to a place of intimacy through Jesus but there are still lessons for us to learn in our prayer life through the Old Testament tabernacle. This next series is based on the stages of the temple and the process the priests went through to enter into the Holy of Holies and the intimate presence of God. Use this series to enter into the holy place within and therefore God’s beautiful presence.
