Tabernacle Prayer: 2. Design of the Tabernacle - Brazen Alter (The Outer Court)
The first place that was visited upon entering the tabernacle was in the outer court and was the brazen alter it was here that the animals were sacrificed for the atonement of sin. Jesus in His sacrifice on the cross made this way for us but we must still understand that to come into the intimate presence of God there must be a repentance or removal of our sin.

We must begin our prayer for intimacy by repenting of our sins,

'Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands you sinners; and purify your hearts you double minded.' (James 4:8)

Spend some time today talking to God about the things that hinder your relationship with Him and LEAVE them at the foot of the cross in prayer in your preparation to step closer to greater intimacy.
