Who Is God When You Pray?: 4. God and Sarah (Faithful)

The story of Sarah, Abraham's wife is in Genesis Chapters 12 - 23. Sarah through her life circumstances and troubles was able to see God as faithful to her and the promises He made to her. Though at times she lost faith, she was able to overcome her fears and through her relationship with God and her faith she bore a child in her nineties to Abraham!!! It says in Genesis 21: 1
'Now the Lord was gracious to Sarah as He had said, and the Lord did for Sarah as He had promised.'

Sarah held to the promise that God had given to her and her relationship can show us that when God has promised us anything He will be faithful to His promise. So today if you feel disheartened or abandoned know that if you hold to the promise with faith God will be faithful to you. In Isaiah 55: 11 it says that God's word does not come back to Him empty - therefore if He has spoken promises over your life He will fulfil them (Philippians 1: 6). Pray like you've never prayed before, have faith through the Spirit of Christ Jesus who lives within you and believe and keep believing and watch God be faithful to you!
