"Oh no! Not another compilation of well worn hymns" would be an understandable initial reaction. But be prepared to be surprised. The contemporary backing and arrangement to these classic hymns could give them a new lease of life. Any of these tracks could be mixed with present day reflective worship songs without being out of place. The only give away being the familiar words. An example of this is "Holy Holy Holy Lord God Almighty", which has an unexpected but fitting drum backing which brings it alive without detracting from the traditional flavour. The unusual style of "Rock Of Ages" could make it accessible to the so called generation X. Altogether a successful attempt at bringing a 90s feel to popular hymns.
