There can be few more memorable trailers for a new video series than Larry the Cucumber's awed observation, "They've got arms!" And so the latest creation from the Big Ideas guys who gave us those wondrous Veggie Tales hits the racks in a welter of publicity. Does the new series, about penguin space travellers, shape up? I think so. After a slowish start, where two self-obsessed kids are taken off for a holiday with granny (sporting the phoniest English accent you've ever heard) thing's get going when Commander Zidgel, First Scientist Fidgel, Officer Midgel and the truly stupid Kevin whisk the little boy off to the planet Wait-Your-Turn where selfishness literally rules. The wisecracks are plentiful, the aliens - in the guise of vacuum cleaners - inspired and the central moral - taking turns and being patient are where it's at - comes through loud and clear. Yep, another hit I reckon.
