Nigerian born Abi is a qualified Doctor now based in Northumberland who feels called "to minister the good news of Jesus Christ through music." On the evidence of this, his second CD, he could be right. The singer/songwriter brings us 11 tracks of soft pop worship songs, with haunting almost ethereal vocals (although on occasions the vocals are a bit too "thin"). The songs present an interesting contrast in styles, from the almost anthemic rock opener "Praise The King Of Glory", to the reggae influenced "I Believe In You", and being a man for all seasons, there's even a Christmas song, "Make Me Be Like You" (and it's not bad as Christmas songs go). The title track is clearly a heartfelt personal testimony and echoes a couple of themes that run through the album, sacrifice and devotion to the Lord. Although the lyrics are often quite simple and straight forward, Abi, comes up with some good hooks and this is a good effort ably assisted by the production and arrangement work of David Healey.

I have had the opportunity to listen to two of Abi's albums
and have been greatly impressed with the vocal talent of the
artist coupled with the musical arrangement on the tracks.
The purpose of the artist is clearly seen in all his music
and that is to get us truly praising and worshipping the One
that is due true worship. I've met this unassuming singer
and know that his aim in music and in person is to make
people relate with God with the heartfelt melodies. To know
that it is our season to praise and worship God. Will
recommend this upcoming minister to create a lifestyle of
worship anywhere.
