In many ways this is a most unusual album. There are five tracks in English, four tracks in French and two tracks in Lingala which is one of the major language in Central Africa which means "Be mine". Musically the album is an excellent set of R&B, gospel and fresh, contemporary pop. From the beginning "Intro" you know you are in Destiny's Child territory. "Ain't Nobody" is a great pop song: "Ain't nobody worthy like you, no-one else can do the things you do/'Cause your ways are so perfect and true" - similar words have been sung in every praise and worship release since time began, but it's refreshing to hear such lyrics sung to a contemporary rhythmic groove. Even when listening to the African tracks, such as "Zala Wa Ngai", the top notch production (by Joel Bumba) means that even if you can't sing along you'll enjoy the vibe. "Holy, Holy" and "We Adore You" are gentle pop ballads which showcase the harmonies of the group while "Pardonnee" begins the French lyric tracks, an addictive R&B beat and Middle Eastern riff combine and by the time the English rap comes in you know this trio could sing in any language and you'd be happy to listen. Fine stuff.
