The band’s self-titled debut produced a Cross Rhythms turntable hit with “Is There Anyone There” – no mean feat for an Australian independent – so it’s about time we reviewed this effervescent followup. This time around the guitars are a bit harder but the two great assets of the band, their winning way with memorable images wedded to radio friendly hooks and an exceptional lead singer, the gloriously named Naarah Seagrott, are still in place. I loved the fluid, moody “It’s OK” and the contemporary praise “Hallelujah” while other tracks are also beginning to register. It’s disappointing how few of the excellent artists flowing out of the Australian and New Zealand CCM scenes get a UK release. But don’t let that deter you.
