This is the Folkestone-based singer/songwriter's first recording and the six songs here show real promise. As Alie acknowledges on her MySpace entry, she is difficult to pin down sound-wise, although most of the tracks here have the same feel as so many of the current crop of female singer/songwriters. They're songs which clearly come from the heart with an acoustic feel and very good production. Kicking off with "Remind Me", which is a good taste of what's to come, the songs have a clear focus and communicate the feelings of the singer with a set of catchy melodies. "Consequences" recognises the fact that all we do has consequences and "On My Knees Again" expresses a dependence on God that is both touching and inspiring. No doubt we will be hearing more from this young lady.
