This is a mixture of '80s and modern day pop worship music from a Cork-based singer/songwriter. The idea for this album comes from a Latin phrase translating as "would the condition exist, were it not for the actions of another." This is a very deep notion which unfortunately does not seem to be supported by the lyrics and tone of the album. After awhile the repetition of song rhythm gets a bit tedious as only three different drum beats are used at different speeds throughout the album and unfortunately this percussion only features as a background sound rather than a feature that drives the songs. "I Was Glad" uses a mixture of major and minor chords which makes for quite a pleasing song but many of the other melodies are decidedly mundane. The vocals are led by Fynn and echoed by Carol Fynn and with an R&B influence from Danielle Lifetink are adequate but no more. Better production and more creative songwriting would have hugely improved this set.

Having read your review its clear you failed to understand
that the album is a collection of songs and choruses,
therefore because the concept of 'conditio sine qua non' was
thrown out there does not mean that every track will
dominated with an indepth analysis of the concept.
yes it is a deep thought and the truth is we are where we
are only because of the grace of God.
I was a bit unsure as to the reviewers concept of drums and
the role it should play (its prominence), and i feel the day
that a song needs to be driven by drums in order to sustain
, the songwriter has lost his/her way.
As for the variety of drumbeats , all the songs were
recorded by the same band surely consistency is required,
after all we are not a fusion outfit.
The rest of the comments are fair comments and of course
open to individual taste.
So in conclusion I appreciate the venue and the review , I
just thought that I should clear up a few things that glared
out at me from the reviewers comments.
