Apologies to all our readers in being so slow in reviewing the output of that most extraordinary of rapsters Andrew Aaron Mineo. By now righteous rap enthusiasts in their tens of thousands will have caught up with 2015's 'Uncomfortable' and that sterling video for "Hear My Heart" (track five here) - a song that reflects Andy's discomfort at not learning sign language to communicate with his deaf sister for 25 years. Mineo subsequently said he worked for a year to translate every sound of the song into a three-dimensional experience so that deaf viewers could experience the propulsive rhythm of the music. Elsewhere there are plenty of other gems. "Desperados" features a choice contribution from that soulful maverick Mali Music while another guest, Mac Powell of rock heroes Third Day makes an unexpectedly effective contribution to "Make Me A Believer". Other standouts are "Now I Know" with its vocoder hook and the refrain "all that glitters ain't made of gold" and "Know What's Right" with some typically amusing Mineo lines "My saviour is Jewish/My lawyer is Jewish/My belly is Buddhist." All in all another great set from New York's finest.
