The happy dance sound of Aorta is similar to what you might hear played on the radio on a Friday/Saturday night, except with a bias towards the Christian message. The two DJs Simon Dayman and Ben Jack were full time Youth For Christ workers, but in 2001 joined together to form Aorta. In 2004, producer Andy Searle-Barnes joined them and since then they have been fusing together dance music and worship. As they say in the industrial dance sounds of "Glori-fi", "We want a 24/7 lifestyle of worship, never looking back." Their creative talents have come up with an EP full of originality and uplifting beats, however there is one ballad-style chillout track right in the middle of the CD, which for me dampened down the mood. It loops over and over, trying to build up, but really seems musically to go nowhere. "Communique" has a Latin feel and this track starts off sounding a bit like Kenny Mitchell. The CD ends with a jungle-style remix of the first track "Love Hope Future". Altogether, it's a fresh and subtle spiritual sound that a non-Christian should also be able to enjoy.
