California's Apologetix here turn their attention towards a genre they are particularly good at recording - '80s hair metal. With tracks from Loverboy, Journey, KISS, Robert Palmer, Van Halen, Bon Jovi, Poison and a particularly good rendition of a Scorpions number, there is plenty to attract those after re-living their head banging days. The tracks are musically pretty faithful and as is normal for Apologetix, the Christian lyrics are sometimes a little shoehorned in and on occasions veer to the cheesy side of things. But everything is well produced and nothing ever jars, it just gets old very quickly and while it might make a useful outreach tool or party piece, 'From Hair To Eternity' is unlikely to get pulled out that often.
