For those tuning in to this CD expecting to hear the girls' favourite Christmas ditties being cranked out in traditional BarlowGirl rock grooves then sorry to disappoint, for on that front this album does not deliver. Instead what we do get are 14 songs delivered in a more laid back pop-cum-easy listening manner. "Go Tell It On The Mountain" is a bit more sedate than the usual renditions that I have previously encountered even with the gospel choir. Saying that, this is not a bad CD, the harmonies are as tight as ever no more notably so on "Carol Of The Bells/ Sing We Now Of Christmas". "What Child Is This?" is given a jazz make-over and "Angelic Proclamation" is a medley of traditional carols. Production duties once again were undertaken by Otto Price. But this is surely an album which will disappoint many who went for their engaging "rock chick" stuff.
