Roy Castle presented Record Breakers on the BBC back in the '80s and early '90s, he was also a very accomplished musician and along with his son recorded 'Big Celebration' just a few months before his death in 1994. Now re-released along with Ben Castle's 'Breathe Easy' this two CD set offers a mix of vocal and instrumental tracks. The material is pretty dated now. Roy and Ben gave their own interpretation of some of the popular choruses around that time. It can sound very dated now but if you enjoy big band style which veers to the middle of the road, you'll enjoy this. I've heard some of Ben Castle's later material and it's outstanding, he really has a natural gift like his father. And I would highly recommend a listen. Although this CD doesn't really represent Ben's style these days, it is still a milestone in his musical development.
