The Swedish trio follow up their debut 'Where Silence Prevails' with this set. There are clear influences from progressive metal and the more prog tinged tracks "Waterfalls" and "Closer" show off an ability to craft beautiful soundscapes with layers of synths and organ sounds rising and falling through the song. There are also a number of more straightforward rock tracks making this an accessible record to the masses. Some crunching guitar riffs are on display on "Who Am I" and there are glimpses of the technical ability of guitarist Henric Hermansson. I think they would benefit from more of these heavier moments on the record as some songs lack the variety to make them stand out. That is only a minor criticism and tracks like opener "Naked We Die" show that when they get it right they can craft a classic rock anthem with melodic verses, heavy riffing choruses and soaring synths. As the title track professes the "Purpose & Cause" of this album is "to lift up Your name" and there is a clear passion and a freedom that draws you in.
