It sure would be nice to see some commentary on this 80's ccm artist. I had heard the 5 minute title song "Watermarks" on a mixed compilation; then I bought the whole cd afterwards. Billy continues to woo listeners with his great acoustic sounding songs!
Some great bgvs assist Billy on this project, to include ccm vets Kelly Willard & Bob Bennett and one of ccm's newcomer for the 90's Carolyn Arends: & I cannot leave out country singer Lisa Cochran.
And once again, Billy's songwriting talents shine!
Great artwork provided by Kelli & Chris Everett, who have done cover artwork for some of Billy's other projects: this is rarely seen on cd's today! We all need "Watermarks", thanks Billy great song!
I love "Lower Than The Angels"; it connects! "The Question Pool" what a song title! we have all been there; a great modern day psalm. Top lead guitarist
Jerry McPherson (long time association with Amy Grant), adds great sounds to Billy's songs.
This cd provides over 1 hour of pleasant, soul filling songs; worth every minute! "Mercy As The Rain" is a destined classic, it is simple beauty; great bgvs by Bob Bennett & Kelly Willard. "Down With The Ship" is a nice tribute song for Martin Luther King,Jr.
One listen to "Feed the Fire" and the chorus will stick with you. Let us not lose our water marks, for soon, "Someday Face To Face".
