The first single release from this son of Alabama for a decade, the 2005 American Idol runner up has him "Chasin' Darkness" from his life. What we have here is a punchy rhythm section, slide guitar and a gravelly blues rock vocal from Bo. It all adds up to a well-produced song that improves with every listen and which one could easily hear as the theme tune to a dark southern USA-based detective series about good and evil. Quite haunting.
