‘I Am God’s Man’ is a single release that is an introduction to the talents of one Brad Eberly, a new name to this reviewer’s ears. Brad, who lives in Peoria, Arizona, has been writing music and leading worship since his college years. This experience has qualified him to serve as the worship leader, as well as overseeing the entire media ministry of Calvary Community Church in Phoenix, Arizona, where over five thousand worship every week. Deep in the dusty depths of my vinyl collection are buried several albums by the veteran male CCM group The Imperials, and this offering of Brad does remind me of some of their early stuff, which is no insult, bearing in mind the standard of The Imperials output over the years. ‘I Am God’s Man’ has a lightly laid back feel to it with sultry sax adding interest in the latter stages. The lyrics reflect a desire to live out a radical no compromise faith.
