His appearances at the Cross Rhythms festival have proven to be some of the most memorable merging of music and the theatrical. Now, in his most ambitious work ever, Nick Jones offers a sweeping exploration of the treasures of Christianity's Hebrew roots. The effect is stunning. Try the stunning recitation of "The Fall", climaxing with the chilling words "Access denied." Or "Purple", where the prophet looks on the Lamb of God. Or "Isaiah 49", which unpacks its truth over a funky R&B track. Some tasty contributions from people like Elaine Hanley while the inventive production keeps the focus on the karaoke prophet and his stirring, thought provoking images. For adventurous spirits, this unclassifiable merge of ancient and modern will demand investigation.
