In Cross Rhythms book Breakspear are (along with Curam) the best band in British CCM still awaiting their first full CD. If you witnessed their stunning performance at the Cross Rhythms festival you'll know why we think so. But while we're waiting for a record exec to catch up with the team they pitch in with this which I suppose you could call a cassette single even though it's 12 minutes long! Very much a piece of concept theatre it uses the metaphor of a 'twister' hurricane descending on some poor hillbilly farmer as a metaphor for the present move of the Holy Spirit on the Church. Fascinating though not easily accessible and probably a bit bemusing for new Breakspear enthusiasts who've only caught their remix on the 'Cross Rhythms' compilation. There's nothing to dance to here. Released through public demand by those who've been touched by the work at their gigs 'The Twister" is unlikely to register outside that context. The reverse features two dance tunes showing the band still know how to catch a groove!
