Focusing on eight songs from Brian Doerksen's album 'It's Time' album, Worship Tools is presented in a good quality A4 size book. Each song included has separate lead sheets with the musical notation and guitar chords, guitar chord charts and lyrics. Included with the book are two discs, an audio CD and an instructional DVD. The audio CD contains each of the tracks twice, once as a full studio version, and also an acoustic version for smaller groups. If you have a computer and you need to print off more copies for other members of your band, then you can use the audio CD to access the lead sheets and chord charts in PDF format and the lyrics as a text file. The DVD contains videos showing you each song in turn on guitar, bass, piano and drums. These are really just to play along to, though the videos feature a close up on the chord shapes and finger positions, and also contain a graphic on screen to show you the chord to play. The exception to this is the drum video, which only gives you two different camera angles of the drummer with no visual prompts. Also the video only displays the chords not the notes, which may disappoint some keyboard players. The DVD also features step by step tutorials for each song, but only on guitar, and a Live Lyrics feature to enable you to sing along in small groups or just to practice. If you are looking for a music resource then you will find something for every member of your worship band here, though guitarists will probably get the most out of it.
