A major figure in American CCM, the fact that he's never played in the UK has kept his profile in the UK rather low. However, his underground reputation as one of the great blue-eyed soul voices should attract some purchasers though it only represents a small part of his voluminous recordings, only travelling backs to 1990's 'Anonymous Confessions Of A Lunatic Friend' (so wrinkly nostalgists looking for cuts from great oldies like 'Get Yourself Committed' let alone those Sweet Comfort Band oldies had better look elsewhere). There are also five cuts from 1992's 'Mercy' album which is surely too many for a best of compilation. On the plus side there's an excellent funky new track "Love Takes Time", produced by Tedd T. Worth investigating if this fine CCM talent is still unknown to you.
